Tutorial and Documentation of Sevida V2.4.2 Responsive Blogger Template

Sevida is one of the great Responsive Blogger template. The latest version of this template is 2.4.2. This template has optimized in terms of SEO, Web design and have 3 Comment System (Google Plus, Facebook and Disqus comment System), Color choices are endless, Support RTL Language, Customly designed Error 404 Page, Ajax load more posts, Auto Featured Post from JSON, Drop-down Menu, Support shortcodes, Top Social Icon and much more.

Due to little difference from previous versions, 2.4.2 version does not have newest documentation but documentation version 1.7. At first, it was difficult for me to apply settings. But slowly-slowly I have learned how to apply settings . So this article is a little tutorial on how to set Sevida v2.4.2 in your blog/website. Some examples of settings are below.

To create a Sub-menu in the Top Menu

To create a submenu in the menu Top Menu (On the left Above). Sevida no longer use HTML Support in template but can be added through widgets.

1. Go to Layout 
2. Click Edit on the Top Menu widget.
3. In the column "New Site Name" fill in the name of the menu / link desired eg Contact. 
4. In the column "New Site URL" fill in the desired url.
5. Finish by pressing the Add Link .
6. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to add other menu.

The most confusing part for the beginners is how to add sub ​​menus? It is easy by adding an underscore before the name of menu will be the sub menu of above parent menu, for example "_Sub menu" . Then you have to set the order / adding more menus below its parent menu. For example, the More menu has several sub-menus, then place the sub menu under.

Note: More menu has two sub-menus, the sub menu1 and sub menu2, and both of them I put just below the menu More. Thus the structure will create sub menus.

Make Social Link

Social button links are located in the upper right corner of the blog. It is not difficult to add. Follow the steps below.

1. Go to Layout.
2. Click the Edit button on widget Social Link.
3. In the column "New Site Name" enter the name of social media, for example: facebook .
4. In the column "New Site URL" enter the social media links, or leave blank if you want to add later.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other social media, google , youtube , rss , LastFM , and facebook .
6. After clicking the Save button.

Make Social Counter

Social counter is made ​​more interesting by Sevida v2.4.2 update. To create a social counter follow below steps:

1. Go to Layout .
2. Note Sidebar Area. Click the Edit button in the widget Social counters .
3. In the column "New Site Name" enter the name of social media, for example: youtube [21k] . Figures in the brackets are the number of followers or subscribers.
4. In the column "New Site URL" enter the social media links, or leave it blank if you want to add later.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other social media.
6. After clicking the Save button.

Make Mega Menu

This part is a little bit confusing at first to me. But after several attempts and successful. In principle, only need to add a list of menus and sub-menus.

1. Go to Layout .
2. Click Edit on the Top Menu widget.
3. In the column "New Site Name" fill this "Mega Menu [Links Content]" Note text inside brackets will be shown below Mega Menu as a description.
4. In the column "New Site URL" fill in the desired url.
5. Create a sub-menu with the name _links. Note: The menus added in the four widgets below Mega Menu Links Contents will be the mega menu, _links will take these menus in their mega menu
6. To add mega menu in tab style add "Mega Menu [Tabs Style]" in New Site url. Just below insert "-mtab / label1, label2, label3, label4" in New Site url.
7. To add mega menu in Grid style add "Latest Post [Grid Style]" in New Site url. Just below insert "-grip / recent" in New Site url. 
8. To add mega menu in First Big style add "Mega Menu [First Big Style]" in New Site url. Just below insert "-mbig / random or recent or label name" in New Site url.

The whole process shall be look like below image.

Insert Newsticker and Slideshow

• To insert Newsticker add new Gadget below Top Featured Area , Select HTML / Javascript. In the title Add name and in the content add this  "[recent][newsticker]".
• To insert SlideShow add another new Gadget below Top Featured Area , Select HTML / Javascript. In the title insert name and in the content add this  "[recent][featured1 or featured2 or featured3, featured4, featured5]"  Thats, it.

Add Comment System

Add new gadget in the Magazine Widget Area, Select HTML / Javascript. In the title Insert name and in the content add this "[blogger][facebook][disqus]". Remove those which you don't want.

Home Page Layout

In the Magazine Widget Area, Select HTML / Javascript. In the title Insert name and in the content add these Available Boxs Type which you needed : 

slider1, slider2, fbig1 , fbig2 , fbig2 animated, column1 , column2 , column1 animated, column2 animated, carousel1 , carousel2, video , gallery1, gallery2, gallery3, list, timeline

for example "[Label Name][fbig2][#000000]" #000000 will be the color of the title of the gadget
