Separate Partition:

You must have a separate Partition to Install Kali Linux to that Drive. If you have not an extra partition Shrink the Windows 7 C Drive with Disk management tool in windows 7 or 8. The task is done in order to shrink the C drive to create room for installing Kali Linux. After you shrink C Partition an extra unallocated Partion will be created. If you have enough free-space on the C drive, the system will suggest a 50-50 split of the free space. Which is good enough for this test of installation. Remember their size for the next phase of installation in order to recognize it later. You must search how to shrink windows partition to create an extra partition.

After the operation has successfully completed, you now see the newly created space next to the C drive. You can exit the partition manager and reboot the PC.
